Review: Anastasia Beverly Hills Soft Glam Palette

Last month on 14th February, Anastasia Beverly Hills released her much awaited Soft Glam palette.

Anastasia Soare's daughter, who goes by the name Norvina on social media, created the palette for her mother who she says loves her neutral tones - hence the name Soft Glam. The palette has been created to take you from day to night.

The palette consists of 14 shimmery and iridescent gold, bronze and rose pink shades as well as a good selection of neutral matte shades.

The shade descriptions, as per the ABH website are as follows:

Tempera: Ultra-matte velvety beige
Glistening: Iridescent gold with a hint of pink reflect
Orange Soda: Ultra-matte pastel peach
Rose Pink: Rose gold with a soft pink iridescent hue
Sultry: A hybrid satin metallic finish warm chocolate brown
Bronze: Metallic gold bronze
Mulberry: Ultra-matte mulberry
Dusty Rose: Ultra-matte dusty lilac
Fairy: Multi-imensional light gold
Burnt Orange: Ultra-matte deep orange
Sienna: Ultra-matte earthy brown
Rustic: Ultra-matte deep cinnamon brown
Cyprus Umber: Ultra-matte dark coffee
Noir: Ultra-matte deep carbon black

I love just how wearable this palette is. It's definitely an "everyday" palette if you wear shadow everyday. The shades all go together so well and again, I love that there's a good mix of shimmers and mattes.

The velvet outer is classic ABH packaging but this time in a muted beige colour. I only went and ended up getting black shadow on it after swatching for the first time! *SOB* But we all know it's not going to stay pretty and perfect forever - even my Modern Renaissance palette is covered in make up! I actually store my ABH palettes in their boxes to prevent them from stains. Anyone else?!

As expected, the colours swatched amazingly. I've really been loving ABH palettes. They definitely have some of the most pigmented eyeshadows I have ever used.

What sets this palette apart from my other neutral palettes is that it isn't just restricted to golds and bronzes. There are some stunning red, brown, mauve and pink tones too so you can really create so many different looks and add different depth and dimension to your looks. A matte black shadow is a must to amp up even the most simple looks and doubles up as a liner for a softer look.

My favourite shades have to be Glistening, Fairy, Rose Pink, Dusty Rose and Mulberry. I love the iridescent finish of Glistening and Fairy. Rose Pink is the perfect rose gold shade for a simple but glam look. Dusty Rose is a gorgeous transition shade but I can see it working as an all over colour for a quick, matte eye. Mulberry has gorgeous red tones that would work really well for a smokey eye look.

I can't wait to use this palette for events coming up this year. It's such an all rounder but perfect if you love your neutrals and want something a little more on trend shade wise.

Will you be buying the Soft Glam palette? Do you love ABH palettes just as much as I do?
